God Gave Me You

Today Christina aka Xtina’s new ablbum Lotus hits the shelves and Itunes. In her new album she features a duet performance with co-cost of The Voice, Blake Shelton. The song is called “Just a Fool”.

It’s hard to believe the two are so tight, it seems like the friendly banter on The Voice, is not so friendly banter. In a video previewing the song, Christina admits to being closer friends with Blake than any guy on the show. Who knew? Guess she wasn’t kidding since she invited him to sing a cross-over song on her new album. “Just a Fool” really shows off Blake’s vocal talent, his voice is smooth and covers a ton of range.

Way to go Blake!

Revolution (Miranda Lambert album)

Miranda Lambert is Country music’s newest female icon. She’s won countless awards over the past couple of years including “Female Vocalist of the Year” at the CMA’s  (2010). Miranda became so popular that her wedding (to Blake Shelton) was covered by People Magazine. With all the fame and photo’s we’ve been able to get a good glimpse at Miranda’s fashion sense…but as many of you know it’s a little 2 sided.

Miranda, like many Southern girls, has a sweet side and…a not so sweet side? It’s hard to pick just one team when you were raised with church, manners, and morals but still have that aching desire to be independent and strong. Miranda’s certainly polite and classy but she could probably whip out some sort of Taebo and kill everybody in the room. (At least in my imagination)

We had to create 2 pieces for Miranda, the sweet side…and the girl that kicked your butt in high school side.

Blake Shelton on The Cover of ‘Rolling Stone’

Rolling Stone Magazine

The judges of NBC’s The Voice have grown ridiculously in fame since the start of the season. Not only has Blake Shelton well surpassed 1 million twitter fans but now he’s on the cover of  Rolling Stone. It’s rare that country music stars make the cover of a rock magazine but Blake’s charm, whit and good looks have made him a Superstar.

If you’ve never seen The Voice, it resembles shows like American Idol. Contestants with vocal talent audition to be voted as the next musical Great. What makes The Voice completely different is that the auditions are blind. The 4 teams (Blake, XTINA, CeeLo, Adam) have to select and convince the singer to be on their team. Each Judge must select 12 contestants to form an unstoppable team. The best of the 4 teams takes home the trophy. Last year, (Season 1) Adam Levine took home the Grand Prize.

If you’re an avid fan of The Voice, but missed an episode, take a look at each teams lineup:

Brian Fuente, Erin Willett, Gwen Sebastian, Jermain Paul, Jordis Unga, Rae Lynn. Fan favorites seem to be Gwen, Jermaine, and Jordis.

Chris Mann, Jesse Campbell, Geoff McBride, Lindsey Pavoa, Moses Stone, and The Line

Angie Johnson, Erin Martin, Jamar Rogers, James Massone, Juliet Simms, Sarah Golden

Fan favs: Angie Johnson, Erin Martin. Erin’s audition was a top selling song on itunes overnight.

Team: ADAM

Angel Taylor, Chris Cauley, Katrina Parker, Kim Yarbrough, Nahan Parrett, Pip, Tony Lucca

Fan favs: The beautiful-Angel Taylor and the guy who stole the show-Chris Cauley from ATL.
